When finally he meets his maker, in due course, it will be his turn to sit as a defendant for the first time in the courtroom of the almighty. All his political life he has been on the plaintiff stand demolishing opposition politicians in a court that is compliant to his whims and fancy. It’ll be different when he crosses over. He has to pass through the purgatory first where he will be judged as a defendant for crimes against Singaporeans. And maybe it’ll be ex-magistrate (during colonial Singapore days) JB Jeyeretnam (ex-magistrate during Colonial Singapore) who will be presiding his case in the pre-court hearing?
