Call on Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew by Keidanren Delegation, 2 December 2009

A delegation led by Keidanren [Japan Business Federation] Chairman Fujio Mitarai called on Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew at the Istana on 2 December 2009 at 6.00 pm. Mr Lee and the delegation exchanged views on regional developments, and reiterated their support for Singapore and Japan to remain committed partners in Asia, by continuing to build on the strong bilateral relations and business linkages.

State of Mrs Lee

Lee Kuan Yew's wife Kwa Geok Choo has been warded at the Neurological Intensive Care Unit of Tan Tock Seng Hospital since her second stroke in May 2008. She suffered a third stroke in June 2008, and sources available to LEEWATCH suggest that she has suffered permanent brain damage and is not expected to recover from her coma.
